Preamble
Ghrive (the “Company”) complies with the “Personal Information Protection Act” and related laws to protect the freedoms and rights of data subjects, and lawfully processes and securely manages personal information. Accordingly, under Article 30 of the “Personal Information Protection Act,” the Company establishes and discloses this Privacy Policy as follows, to inform data subjects of the procedures and standards for the processing and protection of personal information and to handle related grievances promptly and smoothly.
This Privacy Policy applies to the mobile application “Dotmong” (the “Service”) provided by the Company.
Article 1 (Purposes of Processing Personal Information)
The Company processes personal information for the following purposes. Personal information processed will not be used for any purpose other than the following, and if the purpose of use changes, the Company will take the necessary measures, such as obtaining separate consent under Article 18 of the “Personal Information Protection Act.”
- Member registration and management — Identification and authentication of Members through social accounts (Kakao · Apple · Google), maintenance and management of membership, restriction of registration by persons under 14 years of age, confirmation of the intent to withdraw and restoration during the grace period, and various notices and notifications
- Dot character creation — Creating dot character images and motion frames based on pet photos registered by the Member, and confirming eligibility for one free creation per account
- Providing the record service — Registering and displaying pet information; writing, storing, and viewing letters; generating, storing, and displaying the pet's reply to a letter written by the Member; storing and displaying record photos the Member leaves by date; interacting with the dot character and granting in-Service currency and items accordingly; displaying and exporting records at the Member's request; and memorial mode
- Ensuring Service stability — Diagnosing and fixing app errors and crashes
- Handling grievances — Receiving and handling inquiries and complaints, and notifying the results
- Sending marketing information (optional) — Service news and event announcements, only to Members who have consented to receive them
- Providing advertisements — Displaying in-app ads within the Service (rewarded ads and banner ads displayed in the app) and confirming completion of viewing of rewarded ads, and preventing fraudulent use of ad requests
- Payment and purchase management for paid services — Confirming purchases of Gem products and the recurring subscription (Dotmong Plus), confirming subscription renewal, cancellation, expiration, and billing-issue status and providing and ending subscription benefits, reconciling purchase history with currency grants, confirming refunds and overpayments, and preventing duplicate grants and fraudulent payments.
- Ad performance measurement and install attribution — Measuring whether a person installed and used the Service after seeing ads the Company runs on external media, analyzing ad efficiency, and preventing fraudulent installs.(The “Ad performance measurement” row of Article 2, Section 5 · for the legal basis and how to refuse, see the same row and Article 13 (6))
- Usage statistics by country — Understanding the distribution of countries where the Service is used and planning overseas services (the “Usage statistics by country” row of Article 2, Section 5)
Article 2 (Items of Personal Information Processed)
